Kritika Murugesan

Kritika Murugesan is currently the Director, NASSCOM 10,000 Startups She oversees the operations of the NASSCOM startup warehouses across the country and leads programs nationally to help build and grow startups. She also works closely with various state governments to build the ecosystem for tech entrepreneurs. Prior to this , she had a 2 year stint as  Account Director at AnitaB.org India – a social enterprise that connects, inspires, and guides women in computing and organizations that view technology innovation as a strategic imperative. Her current role is to recognize women making positive contributions and advise organizations on how to improve performance by building more inclusive teams.

Kritika previously was the National Lead for the NASSCOM Diversity and Inclusion initiative from 2007 and added on to being the Regional Manager – NASSCOM Karnataka region in 2011. As Regional Manager, Kritika was responsible for the P&L, membership, government relations, development of tier 2/3 cities and regional operations. She has worked closely with CEOs, CXOs of top 50 and other major IT Cos for overall engagement program ranging from technology , societal impact, D&I, value proposition for GICs, education , growth of SMEs and development of state. She has directly collaborated with the Department of IT, Department of Industries and Commerce , Education and Labour Department to address critical issues faced by the industry and find appropriate solutions in the interest of government and industry.

During her tenure at NASSCOM , Kritika grew the Diversity Initiative to include employing persons with disabilities, generational and cultural diversity along with gender. She drove the Diversity and Inclusion summit and the NASSCOM D&I awards since 2008 and had over 300 companies participating nationally in the summit and awards. Her one point agenda across regions has been to actively involve and get CEOs committed to the journey of diversity and inclusion.

Kritika has an MBA from Bangalore University with a keen interest in politics, growing the ecosystem for women in tech and women entrepreneurs.
