Ulagiyan is a seasoned finance professional with diverse experience of over 20 years in various geographies in India. Currently posted as Deputy General Manager at SIDBI, Bengaluru Regional Office. Prior to Joining SIDBI, he was working as an Officer with Canbank Factors Ltd (Subsidiary of Canara Bank) for 4 years. At SIDBI, he served in various capacities during his service spanning 14 years. He was also deputed by SIDBI to Receivables Exchange of India Ltd (RXIL) as Head – Business Development from 2015-2019. He was a core member of the RXIL team that has setup the foundation for RXIL and played a vital role in setting up of RXIL TReDS platform, a transformational initiative of GOI for MSMEs.
As a head of Business Development, he had extensively travelled across India and promoted and created awareness about TReDS, among various stake holders. He also played a vital role in implementation of TReDS at SIDBI for participation of SIDBI as Financier on RXIL TReDS Platform.
He has significant expertise in the area of branch operations, MSME Lending including project loans, Cluster Development, Receivable Finance, TReDS, Factoring & relationship management. He brings along a strong client relationship across key markets and client segments including MSMEs, Mid-Market, Large, Public Sector & Multinational Corporates. He also serves as a Director on the Board of Karnataka State Financial Corporation (KSFC) He is holding MBA from University of Madras and a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. He also holds a Diploma in International Factoring from Factors Chain International, Amsterdam.
