Go Global is a GCPIT initiative that answers the question, ‘As a business looking to enter new markets or expand into existing markets, what assistance is available to help me improve my export capabilities?’

Go Global is a complimentary service available to businesses with a registered GCPIT Business Number (GBN) and is easily accessible online.

How does it function?
Whether you’re looking to enter new markets or expand in existing high-growth markets, Go Global can assist your business in accomplishing its objectives by identifying capability gaps and recommending next steps to close them.

You may invite up to five of your business’s key stakeholders to participate in the self-assessment.

Go Global assesses your business’s capability and capacity in the following nine areas through a series of export-focused questions:

  • Ambition on a strategic and financial level
  • Markets and competition abroad
  • Market access routes
  • Brands and unique selling propositions
  • Processes and procedures in business
  • Commercial operations
  • Risks and governance in international commerce
  • Human capital
  • Metric and numerical values

Each section includes an explanation of how it affects your business’s ability to conduct successful international trade.

After all nominees have completed and submitted their self-assessments, the Go Global platform compiles their responses into one comprehensive report.

What is contained within the Go Global Report?
You’ll receive a comprehensive report that includes the following:

  • Results of the self-assessment – the weighted score for each of the nine areas examined
  • Following steps – recommended state and federal government programmes that may assist your business in entering international markets
  • Itemized responses – aimed at eliciting insights from a variety of angles within your business.
