Shriti Pandey
Shriti Pandey completed her Master’s degree in Construction Management from the New York University and holds a B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering. In 2016, she quit her job in the New York City to live in a tribal village in India for a year. Living in the village made her learn that she shouldn’t be ashamed of the privilege of getting the best education and opportunities. She decided to use her construction knowledge and experience of working in the Big Apple to increase the access to quality housing for all.
Shriti Pandey is Founder of Strawcture Eco, a TedX Speaker , Forbes 30U30 Asia Honouree 2021and a United Nations Social Impact Challenge awardee. She has been named a 2021 Vital Voices GROW Fellow and is one of the 13 Echoing Green Fellows for the year 2020 and recipient of a Grant of $80,000. She has also been awarded the prestigious Acumen Fellowship and is also one of the 19 women leaders chosen by the Aspen Ananta Center for GP Birla Leadership Program.
- She is founder of Strawcture Eco, first company in India that builds green building materials using Agri-fiber residue as raw material that stores carbon footprint. They so far have stores more then 500 Metric ton of carbon in one year and plan to sequestrate additional 20,000 Metric tonne in 3 years.
- She has worked with a 480 women FPO to promote livelihood amongst below poverty level families by promoting Animal husbandry and collective backyard poultry project with 100 families in a village in Madhya Pradesh.
