Rebecca Bakare

Rebecca Bakare is the Founder and CEO of Mama’s Creation Foods, an award-winning social enterprise and African health food company, and the Co-founder and COO of Mama’s Natural Foods Inc. She earned her B.A. in Economics from Washington and Lee University in 2019 and a certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship from Cornell University in 2020.

Prior to her venture in the private sector, Rebecca worked in the social sector where she pursued and refined her interest in using business as a force for good. She co-developed and supported the implementation of an entrepreneurship program for children in rural communities in Ghana. As the Global Search & Operations Associate at Ashoka, Rebecca led the development of a youth empowerment program and mobilized thought-leaders and stakeholders for several global women’s empowerment and social
entrepreneurship initiatives.

Through her professional engagements, Rebecca leverages her impact-oriented business and management skillsets to share the nutritious abundance of Africa with the world in ways that enhance the livelihoods of women in African agriculture and honor Mother Earth. During her free times, she enjoys travelling, learning about other cultures through food and arts, and expanding her knowledge about regenerative agriculture and the roles of nutrition in health and wellness.
