Nana Wanjau
Nana Wanjau, is East Africa Woman Leadership Award 2019 winner. She is 8th AABLA Philanthropist of the year EA Award winner and Harmony Institute Philanthropy Award winner.
Nana is the Chief Operating Officer; of Commonwealth Businesswomen’s Network International (CBWN), with a focus on Africa. Her mandate is to network business women of the 19 commonwealth Africa countries across the globe; to connect, collaborate and do commerce.
She is the outgoing Chairperson; CBWN-Kenya after serving for three years. She is the visionary behind the eMarketplace developed at the height of the pandemic 2020 to enable businesswomen to continue trading on an e-commerce platform. There’re over 500 exhibitors from 5 continents, mainly Africa. They connect through BizPitch forums, Online exhibitions and Trade forums as well as physical Trade missions and Training and capacity building programs. Winners of BizPitch competitions, win cash awards, secured international partners and new markets.
She is the CEO of Branding Beyond Borders (B3). B3 is about connecting minds globally. It is a Global Network of Business Coaches, Mentors, Keynote Speakers and Storytellers.
For eighteen years, she has been Managing Partner at Saltaway Investments, a real estate investment company with interests in Nairobi and the Coastal region.
Nana is passionate about women’s empowerment through social and economic advancement. She is the Founder of PowerWoman International who build homes for Ostracized Widows across the country: No woman should lose her dignity nor rights because she lost her husband. Widows are supported through four pillars; Shelter, Counselling, Economic Empowerment and Education for children.
