Program Officer, Center For Environment Education Nepal

I am currently involved in a program called “SDG in Action” which is launched by CEEN, with the aim to teach students about 17 global goals and involve them in different Eco-friendly activity-based programs. My duty in this program is to involve and mobilize interested young volunteers from different colleges, train them, and involve them in different schools. We have 5 targeted schools for this program, with the focus to make them Eco-friendly. Also, I am a board member at an organization named CliMates Nepal, where I volunteer in programs and events related to climate change and advocacy. I have participated as an organizer in programs such as climate strikes, intergenerational dialogue on oil drilling in Nepal, etc.

I have volunteered in Himalayan Climates Initiatives(HCI), where I have been a campaigner at the campaign called “No straw in my drink” which aims to encourage people to minimize the use of single-use plastic straws, and am involved in programs related to women empowerment through Hamri Bahini.

Since I am leading a project named “SDGs in Action” where we teach school children about different SDG goals and at present I am working as a project executive at a first local conference of Youth where we discuss and negotiate about climate justice and activism.
