Melissa Pierre
Melissa Pierre is the Senior Trade and Policy Specialist Officer at the American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago (AMCHAM T&T). Ms. Pierre brings 14 years of strong leadership and corporate experience in marketing, trade facilitation, export promotion and event management.
In addition to being a graduate of the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business with an MBA with specialization in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, she has post-graduate qualifications in International Relations and International Trade. Ms. Pierre also holds a BSc in Economics and Management from the University of the West Indies.
She has a strong passion for youth advocacy and empowerment having championed several youth-led initiatives at AMCHAM T&T, most notably the organisation’s flagship youth event: The National Youth Productivity Forum, and assisting vulnerable students through mentorship, professional coaching and other capacity-building initiatives at the Russell Latapy Secondary School.
Ms. Pierre is an avid crossfit enthusiast and has a love for reading, swimming and music. She regularly volunteers for many youth initiatives as she believes that it is important to pay-it-forward.
