Experienced and a CIMA qualified young Banker with a demonstrated history of working in the banking industry since 2014. I am currently the Unit Head of Market Risk for Bank of Africa where I manage the risk on the bank’s balance sheet.
My biggest success has been the launch of the Glimmer of Hope Foundation in September 2020 at Makola during the height of the covid-19 pandemic. The foundation was launched with the vision of shaping the future by preserving the heritage of the young child. We started it off with donations for 50 kayayes and a scholarship package for one of them whose dream was to be a nurse despite her current predicament of sleeping on the street. I was elated by the dreams that were hidden in her heart and promised her of the foundation’s support to help her achieve her dreams. The foundation has also sponsored four (4) other Kayayes to learn fashion and hairdressing in a 3-year formalized training session with the Tamale Training Institute. One additional lady has been assisted by the foundation to go back to Senior High School.
Also, the foundation has embarked on several projects across the country, such as peace and health drive, mentorship and back to school drive where uniforms and school accessories were given to students to aid in their education and clothing and feeding the needy drive. I stand by this firm belief that education can end the vicious cycle of poverty among the less privileged in society which will eventually help boost the world’s economy as the quality of the human capital improves.
As the founder and CEO of Glimmer of Hope Foundation, my vision is aligned with the sustainable development goals as I belive that every one deserves access to clean water, quality education, food and quality health care.
We are able to do this through the help of the Foundation which provides these to the less privileged in society for free.
