Dikshya Singh
Trade and development researcher specialized in trans-boundary economic cooperation, cross-border trade, entrepreneurship development and finance, and livelihood concerns in South Asia. Currently engaged as a researcher at SAWTEE, involved in research on the issues related to transboundary cooperation and livelihood concerns in South Asia. Before joining SAWTEE, was handling web version of a South Asian longform magazine Himal Southasian that covered social, economic and political issues of the region, including Tibet and Myanmar. A former economics reporter at an English-language daily in Nepal holds an MPhil in Economics from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu.
I have worked on issues related to livelihood opportunities, gender relations, food and agriculture security, among others. Recently, I have written books chapters on the impact of COVID-19 on Nepal’s progress on SDGs and the impact of COVID-19 on South Asia’s informal jobs for UN ESCAP and Centre for South Asian Studies, respectively,.
