    Adesina Fagbenro-Byron is a management, institutional reform, and organizational development expert with a rich combination of backgrounds in Economics, Law, Information Science consulting as well as public and diplomatic service. He comes with over 30 years of experience across the development sphere leading and supervising large transformational initiatives in Sustainable Development working for DFID amongst other notable organizations, Adesina provided innovative skills in the design and development, and delivery of various programs. Dr. Fagbenro was Regional Coordinator for DFID Lagos responsible for the management of multi-million pounds programs across the SW states between 2010 and 2015. In his role as Head of DFID, Lagos office with oversight of southeast and South-South regions saw him initiate cross-learning between states and DFID programs in Governance, Economic Growth, and Human Development. Coordinator of the delivery of 12 development programs ranging from health, education, governance, and economic growth in support of the southwest States.

    He was the initiator of the MDGs annual count-down in all South West states between 2010 and 2015 and the Initiator of the Women in Governance programs in the southwest states. At DFID, Dr. Fagbenro successfully coordinated the high-level bilateral engagements including between David Cameron, the Prime Minister, and President Jonathan/Gov Fashola in
    2011 and supported the formation of the Lagos State Civil Society Coalition.

    Since retiring from DFID Adesina runs a consulting firm, Mothergold Ltd, consultant to the World Bank-funded Saving One Million Lives program ($500,000) between 2015-2018.

    Between June 2019 and February 2020, he served as Team Leader of the DFID-Funded Anti-Corruption in Nigeria Program Institutional Strengthening Facility (ACORN-ISF) managed by Adam Smith International to support the capacity of anti-corruption agencies of government including EFCC, ICPC, Federal Ministry of Justice, and the Judiciary. Currently runs Mothergold Ltd, an Institutional Reform consulting firm Multi-Line An expert in Sustainable Development Goals with a focus on sub-national achievement and is Nigerian Team Leader for the SDG Agenda in Africa Group and a director of SDGAIA Ltd UK- Assurance provider and supporter of policymakers in designing strategies to accelerate SDGs implementation.
