Research Associate, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI)

Anuradha has been working with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) for over two years. She is part of the World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) (TERI’s annual flagship event) secretariat. While at TERI, she has successfully conducted numerous Summits that respond to the urgent demands of the SDGs. She is currently steering the COP26 Charter of Actions, a knowledge document being prepared by TERI, which proposes probable and sector specific options to advance climate action and ambition in India. She was recently a recipient of the prestigious Roll of Honour, a TERI citation that recognises significant contributions to the organisation.

My discussion will borrow from the collaborative potential that partnerships can offer towards concrete climate action. This has been a major topic of interest under SDG 17, especially since 2019, which marked the preparatory phase to meet the expectations of SDG goals by 2030. Partnerships and consultative processes have been extremely germane to this end, and are reflected in the multiple possibilities that have emerged from past and present Summits and conferences. At TERI, The World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) has been steering the ongoing discussion on ‘making the decade count’. It has evoked interests from the industry, governments and civil society who have persuasively aligned towards meeting the targets set in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). I will therefore use my time to underline the role of SDG 17 as we look to deliver on crucial climate targets.
