Dav-Ernan Kowlessar
Mr. Dav-Ernan Kowlessar is an experienced Development Consultant with over 27 years experience in the management and execution of Business projects, strategic planning and 14 years at policy level in services sectors. He has 15 years of experience in institutional reviews, public sector reforms, and gap analyses related to the implementation of WTO and other trade agreements. From 2015 to 2016, Mr. Kowlessar served as the Vice-Chair and Secretary for the CARIFORUM side of the CARIFORUM-EU EPA Consultative Committee, advising and sitting on the Consultative Committee and in particular working on its work program and served as Chair for 2016-2018. He currently serves as Chair of the ACP Non State Actors Network.
He has completed strategic plans as Lead Consultant for several clients in the private sector, subsequent to his work experience in Trinidad. Several projects at National and regional level in the Caribbean, Mauritius and the Pacific Islands required the undertaking of Consultations and surveys leading to transformational outcomes
A certified Project Management Professional, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies (Honors), a postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management, a Certificate in Gender and Development Studies and has undertaken a Master of Business Administration. He is fluent in English and has proven written and oral presentation skills, having served as a presenter on trade forums, seminars, and meetings worldwide.
As Secretary / Head of Secretariat of the Caribbean Association of Industry and Commerce; have advanced the private sector interests in the accomplishment and alignment with the SDGs. I have been at the UNGA in 2017 with the Global Compact and in 2018 we worked with other Caribbean partners to launch the Caribbean Philanthropic Alliance with the support of the UN- this was to help fund the SDGs through legacy funding by teh private sector.
