Marsha Stonehill is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist who has been board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center since 2003. She has prior experience working as a Registered Nurse in critical care, emergency and home health settings. Her program development and management skills are enhanced by her corporate and entrepreneurial experiences. Marsha’s training allows her to combine a solid foundation of research-based practice with alternative therapies as she partners with people to optimize their health, and to understand their choices and the impact of their choices. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Marsha has worked primarily in outpatient and residential settings with individuals from all walks of life. She is deeply grateful for what she has learned from the experiences of the people she has treated. Her book, Melt the Ice was written to validate and provide guidance to those who are more sensitive in nature and who are actively seeking better balance while navigating life challenges. Marsha has a private practice also named “Melt The Ice” in King George, Virginia. She values being in a rural setting where she is committed to bringing her practice and professional insights to partnerships and endeavors outside of the medical field in order to promote and facilitate progress towards optimal community health. She has also developed a podcast program titled “Operation FLOW” for Fortitude, Leadership, Opportunity, Wisdom as a platform for local residents to share their inspirations and experiences as an educational source. When Marsha is not working or volunteering, she is with her husband, animals, and friends enjoying outdoor activities.
