Dhanush D B is the Co-founder and Director of Lakshya Space, an Indian deep space tech startup pioneering Green propulsion for rocket engines and developing amphibian drones for defense purposes. With a background in Aerospace and Software engineering, Dhanush brings a wealth of hands-on experience and expertise to both fields. He has spearheaded numerous projects spanning aerospace and software domains, demonstrating his versatile skills and leadership.
In addition to his role at Lakshya Space, Dhanush has co-founded several startups, including Astronautic Institute—an EdTech platform dedicated to educating and inspiring young minds about space science. Under his guidance, the institute has developed various educational products such as telescopes and CubeSats.Dhanush is also Co-Founder and CEO of Codespectra Technologies, an IT startup focusing on software development projects. His diverse entrepreneurial ventures underscore
his commitment to innovation and technology.
Beyond corporate startups, Dhanush serves as the Managing Trustee of the Lakshya Foundation India, a Bangalore-based NGO dedicated to social causes. Through the foundation, he activelyengages in philanthropic activities, making a positive impact in different regions of Bangalore. Dhanush is a sought-after speaker and has delivered numerous speeches at educational institutions, inspiring students with his insights into space science and technology. His contributions extend to the design and development of a 3D printed sounding rocket in 2020, and pioneering India’s first experiment in launching CubeSats using drones in 2021.
Under his leadership, Lakshya Space has successfully launched more than 5 CubeSats using CubeSats and helium balloons. Additionally, Dhanush has trained over 1500 students on various topics of space science, including rocketry, CubeSats, and drones.Moreover, Dhanush has established a product development center at Vemana IT, focusing on skill development and project importance among young minds. His initiatives aim to nurture the next generation of innovators and leaders in the aerospace and technology sectors.
