She is working as Principal in Shining Star International School, Abu Dhabi -an Indian Curriculum school in UAE. She is an MIE Expert -Cohort 2020-21 selected by Microsoft Education. She is also the UAE Ambassador and lead facilitator for the Climate Action Project 2020. As a Head of the institution, She drives change and sets a growth mindset among staff and students through a visionary plan.
She was awarded the Global Teachers Accreditation by British Council in 2013. She is an international Model UN Trainer having served as an international trainer with WFUNA, South Korea. As a Teach Sustainable Development Ambassador cohort-3 2019 selected by Teach SDG Academy which partners with the UN to spread awareness about the Global Goals, she believes in using classroom spaces for social goods through Advocacy, Activism and Action. She also represents Dubai as an Ambassador for SDG’s for Children, an international organization working to achieve Global Goals initiating projects with school students. A TEDx and GESS Speaker, she is a national-level Handball and Basketball player. Now she can train to run marathons and is an avid cyclist having participated in many open competitions.
She is an energetic person and a passionate teacher. Teaching about Sustainable Development Goals is very close to her heart and she considers Global Goals – Agenda2030 to be a collective responsibility of all individuals. Coherent to this she has Facilitated the Global Classrooms Goals Project since 2019 guiding teachers in her group from around the world to initiate projects related to Sustainable Development Goals allocated to the respective schools. She is a Facilitator for the Climate Action Project founded by Koen Timmers in collaboration with the UN Foundation. This project engages classrooms globally for the Climate action project.
- She is a Teach SDG Ambassador with Take Action Global, USA. She volunteers to teach SDGs with Innovation Lab Schools in partnership with Jane Goodall Roots and Shoots School in Tanzania.
- Since 2019, she is a Climate Action Project Country Ambassador in UAE and also Country Ambassador for SDGs for Children founded by Ayush Chopra. She is the Lead Facilitator with Climate Action Project and The Goals project Co- founded by Dr. Jennifer Williams and Koen Timmers. She facilitates international group of teachers guiding them on implementation of SDGs in the school curriculum.
- She is an Edu Ambassador with SDG Choupal , India supported by Niti Aayog and support SDG Choupal in initiatives related to bringing awareness of SDGs in schools in India and Abroad. She is recognized as a strong voice of action for Global hence resulting in being invited as a Jury member with the following organizations:
1. SDGs Solution Challenge with UNA UAE and Arab Ventures.
2. SDG Choupal and Collins SDG Challenge.
3. SDG Challenge “Sattva” with International Internship University - She is also named as top 100 SDG social media influencers by Connect Aid.
- The school is recognized for the work they do related to SDGs and is accepted in the Global Schools Program by UN and is at Bronze level with Global Schools Alliance, UK.
