Phan Hoang Lan

Phan Hoang Lan used to be Head of Startup Support Division at the National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development, Ministry of Science and Technology. Lan is one of main policymakers drafting the National project to support the innovative entrepreneurship Ecosystem until 2025 (the first national policy to support startup ecosystem in Viet Nam) and co-initiated Techfest Vietnam, the largest national startup event from 2015 to present. In 2019, Lan transferred to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Viet Nam, taking on the role of Head of Exploration of the UNDP Viet Nam Accelerator Lab. She is in charge of scanning for new development trends and find partners for UNDP’s innovation projects.

• One of main policymakers drafting the National project to support the innovative entrepreneurship Ecosystem until 2025 (the first national policy to support startup ecosystem in Viet Nam).
• Co-initiated Techfest Vietnam, the largest national startup event from 2015 to present.
• Co-initiated ImpactAIM Viet Nam, an acceleration program within UNDP Viet Nam to support the scale up of impact startups and innovative solutions towards achieving the SDGs.
• Made it to the list of Forbes Vietnam 30 Under 30 in 2018.
• Made it to the list of Apolitical’s 100 Most Influential Young People in Government in 2018.
