Kavitha Gunasekaran is an accomplished Intelligent Industry evangelist and consultant with expertise spanning over two years in developing innovative solutions in Digital Continuity, Digital Engineering transformations, Intelligent Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Connected Aerospace and Defence, and Generative AI for the Manufacturing and Aerospace & Defence industries.
With proven expertise in business consulting, Kavitha excels in coaching executives in leadership, co-creating cross-functional teams, and developing talent. She is recognized as a collaborative and innovative leader, adeptly navigating the complexities of the post-pandemic world.
Kavitha’s extensive experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry includes over 14 years at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a Defence PSU under the Ministry of Defence. Her roles at HAL have encompassed R&D, Manufacturing, Operations, and MRO, with a specialization in Avionics, Mission, and Weapon systems testing of helicopters.
Currently, Kavitha is pursuing a Management course at IIM Ahmedabad, further enhancing her leadership capabilities. She holds several professional certifications, including:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute, USA
- SAFe Agile Product Owner/Product Manager
- Associate Certified Coach (ACC) by the International Coach Federation, USA

Her leadership roles have included serving as Vice President of the Organizational HAL Productivity Council. As an avid conference speaker and author of several research papers on strategy, business management, and project management, Kavitha actively contributes to her field. She is also a transformational leadership blogger on ProjectManagement.com, an online community of global project managers.
Kavitha’s passion for aviation extends beyond her professional achievements. She is a dedicated trainer and guest speaker at the HAL Management Academy, having trained over 150 executives in innovative practices, intrapreneurship, employee engagement, conflict management, diversity & inclusion, avionics testing, project management, and customer support.
Outside of her professional life, Kavitha is an aviation enthusiast and skydiver with a deep love for books and traveling to offbeat serene locations.
