Cielo Hernandez

Cielo is an accomplished strategic business leader with extensive experience in leading global teams across multiple industries including manufacturing, retail, technology, logistics and energy. Multicultural experience and track record of driving impactful results, aligned with the corporate strategic direction in Private and Publicity equity markets. She has demonstrated the ability to lead, influence, inspire and mentor high performing teams and to partner effectively with internal stakeholders and clients.

Cielo is enthusiastic and innovative visionary leader that consistently meets and exceeds business and financial targets. She has impeccable reputation for developing strategic partnerships with functional leaders to effectively bridge the gap between operational decisions and financial targets. She also has intensive experience in post-acquisitions and integrations.

Cielo held various leadership roles over the span of 27 years across the world, with international companies including APM Moller-Maersk Group, AMCOR and DIRECTV. Her most recent role was at South Jersey Industries serving as a Chief Financial Officer for this publicly listed company.

Cielo is also a Board Member for Rowan University, and member of the Investment and Audit Committees.

Aside from her accomplishments in her professional field, Cielo is passionate about enhancing her knowledge and education in and outside of her finance expertise. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in International Business from the University of Miami and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Universidad Santiago de Cali, Colombia. Cielo is a Certified Public Accountant from Colombia and holds a certification in Talent Management from University Santiago de Cali as well. Most recently, she completed an accreditation in Executive Leadership and High-Performance Teams Certifications from Cornell University.

Cielo speaks Spanish as her first language and fluency in both English and Portuguese.
